Danielle Stead

Danielle, a lifelong athlete, left her day job as a corporate attorney to pursue her day dream of teaching fitness. The gym and sports have always been a place for her to escape, and push her own limits. Her classes are just like her- challenging, supportive, a little silly, and a guaranteed good time.

Where did you grow up?

Encino, CA. I’m a total valley girl.

It is Friday night - beer, wine, cocktail, or fresh pressed juice?

Bourbon on the rocks.

If you had one last meal, what would you eat?

Pizza + donuts!

Do you have a favorite movie or actor/actress?

Everything Pixar.

You are stuck in LA traffic - what music are you playing to pass the time?

This is embarrassing to admit, but I listen to my spin playlists! I talk out the workout, hand gestures and all, to make sure it all works.

What first got you into fitness as a lifestyle and career?

I left my job as a corporate attorney in search of purpose and passion. Every day I found myself in the gym working out, making friends, taking classes. It took me a while before that light-bulb clicked that the gym is where I belong. Thank goodness it did.

What is one of your favorite fitness moments so far in life?

Setting a crazy goal to run 30 marathons before my 30th birthday and crossing that 30th finish line with my husband.

What is your favorite and least favorite exercise?

Favorite: running outdoors on a sunny day. Least favorite: running on a treadmill. Ever.

What is one of your favorite inspirational quotes?

There is no finish line.

What does the word "Sanctuary" mean to you?

Sanctuary is a place where I can be my most authentic self, without judgment or expectation.
