Where did you grow up?
I was born in the Midwest but grew up in Long Beach - that's where I get my edge. ;)
It is Friday night - beer, wine, cocktail, or fresh pressed juice?
A green juice and water for me most Fridays. If I'm feeling crazy, a Greyhound won't be too far away :)
If you had one last meal, what would you eat?
Any Korean food my mom makes
Do you have a favorite movie or actor/actress?
Godfather I and II will always be my favorites. "Leave the gun, take the cannoli"
You are stuck in LA traffic - what music are you playing to pass the time?
I usually listen to podcasts. I love How I Built This and The Tim Ferriss Show.
What first got you into fitness as a lifestyle and career?
I was leading a life I wasn't proud of and I didn't feel great about myself, so I wanted to channel that negative energy into something positive. Through fitness, I began to develop a mindset of striving to be better than I was yesterday. For me, fitness is less about any physical changes, but more about the benefits for your mind and soul. Fitness is a feeling!
What is one of your favorite fitness moments so far in life?
Becoming a cycling instructor and having clients come up to me and say that it was a tough ride!
What is your favorite and least favorite exercise?
I love tapping it back on the bike. Least favorite might be anything related to a treadmill.
What is one of your favorite inspirational quotes?
"Life is 10% of what happens to you, and 90% how you react to it."
What does the word "Sanctuary" mean to you?
Sanctuary is a judgement free space where anyone and everyone is welcome and free to be who they want to be!
